Nickel Plate Saloon

I have to update my review. I had a blast last night @ the best little dive bar in Peru. I had so much fun @ the Halloween party and it's great having a place like this too go out dancing and let your hair down. There's not many places to go and have fun (adulting) in a small town. The band Weird Science was so freaking awesome and they played all 80's music. Love them and they ROCK!!! This is my new favorite place to hang out at and the locals are great ✌️ FYI The skeleton guy never said a word all night and he made the perfect date. 🤣🤣🤣💀 First time I've been at Nickel Plate Saloon and I really enjoyed myself. When I walked in I was greeted and people were introducing themselves. I had a lot of fun playing pool. The atmosphere, music, staff and people in general were great.

The owners Richard and Deb are 2 great people and they always make you feel welcome on any given day or night. I am only familiar with 2 of the bartenders, Faith and Laura are 2 sweet ladies with a great sense of humor and they both make you want to visit again. The bands usually have a good song selection that is different from any of the other bars in town except for the Frankenstein band the week of the Halloween party, they done a whole lot of posing for pictures but didn't sign much😄 The Halloween party and band was a good time. The cover charge on band night is always reasonable if there is one. 3 pool tables and a dance floor to show off your talent or lack there of including weekly pool tournaments. Drop in and say hi.

Great atmosphere and the staff and owner are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet! Shoot some pool, play darts and listen to some great music! Used to be known as Hangar 18. This place has had some great bands come through and still does to this day! State of the art sound system and a master at the sound booth!

Great atmosphere but no table service and no food! If you want another drink, you gotta go get it!
