Mr. Sams Cafe

If you’re out in the mountain back country of Alabama and need a good stop to fill up on some food, this is well worth the visit. Tucked away in the little town of Skyline (not in Scottsboro proper as it might seem from the address), this buffet has a great collection of options, tastes really good, and has excellent people staffing it. Glad that we found this spot for our lunch! Do NOT overlook the massive dessert bar.

A Saturday morning favorite. First off: Mr. Sam is a 96-year old WWII vet who is at the cafe almost every time we go. He shuffles around and greets guests and is a pleasure to talk to! Now, the food: good, hot, very generous portions of country food that is beyond reasonably priced, and delivered quickly (unless you're there for the Sunday Buffett) by folks who are super friendly and helpful!

Loved it, everyone's food came out nice and delicious, appreciate the server for putting up with the rowdy nephews that were in my group. Good price and good servings

Very clean eating area, nice selection, well served, Sunday buffet has a wide variety of options. Very friendly znd professionnal staff. Restrooms were clean.

Don’t know the lady’s name but me and my father in law were there a few days ago and she had kept throwing things on our table and when she brought out food out she threw my father in laws food on the table and a fry fell off and she just picked it up and put it on his plate… very disgusting, please do something with her this is the 3rd time she’s done this.
