50 Taters

We had lunch today at 50 Taters after recommendations from a few people. It was busy but we didn’t have to wait and the staff was on top of everything. I had the shrimp skewers with tater salad and green beans. It was delicious but more than I could eat. My hubby had the Reuben and macaroni and cheese. He said it was very good, as well. We will definitely return. The food was as affordable as fast food but so much better!!

While traveling near Scottsboro today, my brother, grandson and I chose "50 Taters" as our lunchtime restaurant. The exterior is a unique blend of country western kitch that helps draw attention to the establishment. But another sign of a great restaurant is the number of cars in the parking lot just after 11am, on a Wednesday. We found a parking spot on the side of the building and only had a short walk to the front door. Once inside, the old country theme continued, with lots of wood, an open ceiling and touches of mismatched architectural elements. You are allowed to seat yourself and there was a small table in a corner near the salad bar that we grabbed. We were promptly provided menus and ordered the "wine of the south" - sweet tea. The tea was excellent - fresh, sweet and not watered

I loved it! Very unique place with great atmosphere and good food. I got the Bama cheese steak with onion rings, the onion rings were great, light and crispy! Service was great, but we got there right when they opened.

Excellent atmosphere and food. Parking lot was nearly full but we were quickly seated. Waitress service was a bit slow and completely non-existent near the end of our meal. We had to ask another server for a to-go box. A positive was the food was served hot and it was really good. We’ll go back for the food and hope for better service.

Great experience! The staff were so kind and welcoming and the food was delicious! I got the loaded tater and it was 10/10!
