Mourningkill Farm and Bake Shop

OMG! The pies that I got were amazing!!! I got one cherry and one deep fudge. My office loved them! The taste is on point along with texture. We all enjoyed the pies for a co-worker's 65th birthday. The pies taste wonderful the next day, and even the day after! They hold up well in the fridge. The team at Mourningkill was fantastic! I was warmly greeted and enjoyed a brief conversation with them. Truly a wonderful farm and bake shop!

The best homemade pies around!!! We have known the owners for many years and they are the most hard working family and are so humble. It is so neat how they take pride in what they do and love showing and teaching others about the processes that goes into their baked goods. The pies are actually home made unlike other places around town that claim they are but aren’t. Mourningkill pies are seriously unlike any other. They are fresh and you can just taste the fruit they pick in each pie. It is a lot of hard work they put into them and they never fall short here because they are always so delicious! Very berry and apple crumb are our favorites. We always and only get our pies here.

So very disappointed with my experience here. We were camping at Moreau and drove down to get some apples and check out the baked goods. We prefer to support local businesses whenever possible, especially mom and pop establishments. When we arrived we noticed a cash or check only sign in direct reference to pie orders. I asked the woman working (presumably the owner) if it was for everything or just the pie orders she said yes everything. When I suggested adding that information to the google maps listing, she began to say she didn't know how to do so, stopped mid sentence, became very condescending and said "It's on every page of our website." While I had visited their website before coming down, I failed to scroll all the way to the very bottom where it states that they take cash or lo

Omg bought your Apple crumb pie at Fred the butcher in Slingerlands it’s the best pie I ever ate it’s perfection . It’s so delicious the crust and topping are amazing. thank you so for making it and selling it there so I can enjoy it whenever I want which will be weekly!!!!

Was very displeased with the fundraiser that was done with Schuylerville High School. We were told we would have the pies for Thanksgiving and we never got them until just before Christmas. We were also never told the pies would be thawed and unbaked. Worse $60.00 I have ever spent. Will never recommend this bakery as a future fundraiser. If you bite off more than you can handle you should communicate with the school so they can communicate with the families and friends purchasing the product.
