Moosie's Bar and Grill

The food was delicious and priced affordable. Good portions. Our waitress was really attentive and never let our cups get empty.

We found it!!! Best Reuben sandwich in the Roanoke area. Meat was tender & fell apart. Both sides of the bread were crispy. Perfect ratios of toppings. The view was relaxing looking at the lake & our server Jessie was the bomb. She took such excellent care of us we would have thought we were the only ones in there although the place was packed. The girl can hustle. Thank you Jessie for such a fantastic lunch experience. Well worth the drive from Roanoke.

I would love to give Moosie's a better review because we have been coming here for years. However, today was such an utterly disappointing visit, all due to their hostess. We can in with 3 adults and 1 toddler (1 yr old) and they sat us at a 3 person table and wanted to stick the high chair on the corner of a square table where she wouldn't have been able to get close enough to eat and if she threw herself forward for any reason, she could seriously injure herself. So we explained that to her and asked for a bigger table that would accommodate the high chair. The hostess then decided she was done with us, set the menus down on a different table and walked off. We had to get the high chair and move some chairs around, not a big deal. The hostess then continued to run her mouth under her br

We arrived at Moosies by boat. There was a minimum wait time. We had 7 people in the dinner part. The service was very slow. The Waitress was very nice, but they seemed to be very understaffed. So everything took alot of time. Getting drink order taken. Getting our drinks. Having the order taken and receiving our food. The food was all very food. We were completely understanding that the waitress and bar staff didn't have enough help.

Our server was really great and the food was good.... but it was incredibly loud! Other then that I would definitely eat there again.
