La Casa Toscana

It was our first time trying this restaurant and we took friends from out of town. They exceeded all expectations of a small high quality restaurant. This is not your average over priced low quality restaurant that there seems to be so many of. The menu is really simple and selective because they clearly know their strengths. The top fav of the night was Lobster Risotto with blacked shrimp, muscles, and a cranberry glaze. Wow! Their classic pasta 🍝 dish was on point and we were pleasantly surprised by a bacon & onion pizza. Just the right amount of flavor in the sauce and the crust was definitely made from scratch. Service was beyond amazing and caring. Can’t wait to go again. Thanks for bringing quality food full of flavor to the lake.

First visit here, and my message to the owner would be, "you have a winning combination!" There is a nice outdoor seating area as you walk up, and we chose to sit out there. We were greeted immediately by staff, and everyone we encountered was both friendly and efficient. My wife chose the 8oz Ribeye, and I got the Mahi Mahi. We both chose a salad and mashed potatoes as our sides. Our salads came first, and were a very ample amount of delicious mixed greens. The Ribeye was tender and cooked perfectly, and my Mahi was absolutely delicious with the mango salsa. The side of mashed potatoes were creamy and seasoned to perfection. YOU SHOULD GO HERE!! Came in for a late lunch...excellent service, very comfortable atmosphere, pizza was superb (not a thin crispy crust and not a thick one that's all doughy, but like Goldilocks, it's just right!) with the right amount of cheese and toppings! Yum!! A small pizza was too much food for me but love having the leftover to munch on later. Two people could easily share a small. Hubby had the Grilled Chicken sandwich w/arugula and fresh shaved Parmesan cheese. Bread was great, chicken was not dry and overcooked (like just about every other restaurant we've been to around SML!) but VERY tasty and piled up on a very fresh roll! Onion rings were good as well! We definitely will be back!!!

Excellent! My sister and I enjoyed lunch a few days ago! It was very good! We had caprese salad and Tuscana chicken, both were fresh ingredients and very tasty!! Super service and friendly! I’ll definitely return with friends!

This place is a cut above all other restaurants in the Smith Mountain Lake area. The people are wonderful. The service is great. And above all, the food is delicious. Presented well and cooked to perfection. We had chicken and pasta. We previously had the pizza and that was fantastic as well. Also, the desserts are great. Candidly, most restaurants around the lake are 'lake-fine' - but La Casa Toscana exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended!
