Montclair Bed & Breakfast

Just spent 3 nights at the Montclair B&B in Staunton. Sheri and Mark couldn't have been more friendly and accomodating. Lovely people, great conversations, delicious breakfasts and beautiful room. Loved the little outdoor sitting area by our room to read quietly and just relax. We will be returning.

My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay in the Garden Room. Mark and Sherri are superb hosts who have great tips and suggestions on everything from restaurants to hikes. The Queen room was very comfortable and has a separate private entrance. Breakfast, served in the dining room, was delicious, filling and beautifully prepared. The linen napkins, full place settings and flavored water were special touches. The location is also perfect —-an easy 10 minute walk to downtown. A special weekend at a special place!

The proprietors, Mark and Sheri, were friendly and welcoming. We stayed in the Garden Suite, a private room with its own outside entrance. The room was comfortable with enough outlets for anything you need to charge. The refrigerator was stocked and there was a coffee maker in the room. There is WiFi and a television with HD. Breakfast was a choice of hot or cold (you ordered the night before) and you also had a choice of what time you wanted to eat (8:00, 8:30, or 9:00). Breakfast was different each day and very tasty. Staunton (pronounced Stanton) is a charming town. Lots to do and see. We walked everywhere.

This review is long overdue. My girlfriend and I visited during the last weekend in September 2015. Staunton is a charming little town in the Shenandoah Valley with beautiful views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Montclair Bed and Breakfast provides the comforts of home in a lovely, historic house located in walking distance from downtown. Mark is very knowledgeable about the area and immediately provided us with a map and information regarding local activities. Sherri was incredibly welcoming. Her breakfast was also delicious. We really enjoyed getting to know them and would absolutely stay here again next time we are in Staunton.

Traveling with a friend, it can be difficult to have the B&B experience without paying a lot. Montclair has a sweet room with really comfortable twin beds that was perfect for us. A den adjoins the room which gave us extra space, and if there had been guests in another adjoining room, we would have shared the den plus the bath with them. We were the only guests in that part of the house for our two week-night stays in Staunton. This particular part of the house would also be a perfect set up for parents with two kids. One of our nights there was pretty hot, so I can confirm that the AC works great.||||The innkeepers were kind, gave us lots of great information and breakfast was excellent.
