Montauk Catch Club

I have been buying their fish at Farmers Markets for years. Glad to know they’ve opened a brick and mortar location! As recommended, the fish (halibut!) and chips was delightful! the batter was light, thin and crispy and the halibut was buttery and tender. So good!!!

If you’re lucky enough to waltz in when the halibut and charred/grilled radicchio is on the menu you better nab it because it will blow your mind in utter simplicity and succulence. Ryan makes a mean old fashioned, Everything is as fresh as you’ll ever find it. It’s no frills, no bull and don’t ask them to make you something that is not on the menu. This is not Burger King. You can’t have it your way. This is an honest to goodness fish market with the freshest fish you will find unless you’re buying straight off the dock.

Quick stop in for lunch today! Great concept, we enjoy a glass of wine the chowder, lobster roll and fish and chips, everything was fresh and delicious! If we were local we would be here all the time!

If you pass this place while driving to/from Kingston, do yourself a favor and pull over!! It's a total gem. Stopped with my husband for a mid-afternoon lunch after antique shopping in Kingston, and their food is SERIOUSLY good. We split some oysters (delicious, perfectly shucked) and a clam chowder (some of the best I've ever had) to start. He had coconut blowfish tails (umm yeah... incredible) and I had the fish tacos (I'm a California-bred taco snob, and these are legit). Excellent drinks, super nice people running the place, and big back yard with picnic tables.

We have been buying seafood from Montauk Catch Club from the farmers markets. It is the freshest, most delicious seafood I have ever purchased. The restaurant offering is OUTSTANDING. The fish and chips, lobster rolls, crab tostada - all AMAZING. And the BEST oysters I’ve ever had!! So happy to have them here!!
