Wow! A friend and I stopped by on Friday morning to sample a bunch of Pinkerton’s offerings. We both got the excellent and savory breakfast sandwich made on their house made English muffins. So good, the eggs were fluffy, and I loved the addition of herbs. I also got to try the really interesting passion fruit curd and bay leaf custard meringue pie. Amazing! The flavor profile were different and interesting and perfectly balanced. Their pie crust might be the best pie crust I’ve ever tasted. It’s crispy and a little crumbly, and so delicious. We also got the quince, apple, and cheese danish, also yummy and high marks for the key lime pie as well. The only thing I wasn’t in love with was the croissant, which was not as soft as I would have liked on the inside but it was crispy on the outsid
Update: Before going to the dinnerware museum, I had lunch and enjoyed the chicken pot pie who co was lovely then pumpkin pie for later. I bought a box of cookies to give to the local library staff (they deserve cookies every day for what they do!) Andre famous English muffins for my freezer to enjoy at a late time. ****** I finally made my way to this wonderful bakery. I ordered the bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich and it was SO GOOD! No photo as I ate it so quickly! Every aspect of this simple sandwich was of high quality and so delicious. The BEC is on their homemade English muffin with a fluffy scrambled egg and an herb-y cheese. I also ordered an iced London Fog which was exactly what I needed for this hot and humid day. Later, I’ll enjoy one of their almond croissants and a s
Kingston officially has the best bakery in the area. The pasties and desserts they are doing are just different. From a lineup of killers, the cheese danish and coconut chocolate croissant standout as ridiculous. On top of this, the people who work there are great/so friendly. They explained all the great products and threw in a couple extras on the house. Picture is what didn’t get inhaled in the car ride home.
Word on the street (OK, social media) is that Pinkerton’s croissants are worth traveling for. I don’t live around the corner and usually when I come by this way they have been closed but I finally made it. And it was totally worth it! I do agree, the croissants are worth going out of your way for. According to the boss, the secret is in the European butter. I’m not a foodie specifically but I do love croissants and these ones are exceptional! I don’t do sugar, so I can’t tell you about all the other goodies but I’ll definitely be back! Everything looked wonderful and the staff was very helpful and friendly.
My family and I spent a few days in the Kingston Area and were in the mood for some baked goods. I searched for a bakery nearby and landed on Pinkerton’s Bakery. I am so glad we did. We ordered croissants, the (Jalapeño) monkey bread, brownies, rainbow cookies, and almond cookies. Everything was absolutely delicious. The croissants were nice and buttery. The monkey bread was out of this world. It was so good that I sent my daughter back to counter to purchase all of the remaining monkey bread. We couldn’t head back to the city without them. If you are in the Kingston Area or Hudson Valley in general, take a trip to this bakery. You won’t regret it. Did I mention that the service is as good as the food? Oh and please do yourself a favor and ask for a slice of their passion fruit pie. Yo
