We ordered Armenian gatas from Mom’s Recipes for my son’s wedding, and they were beyond amazing! Every guest loved them. The taste was so rich and authentic, buttery and soft, with that classic homemade flavor that only real Armenian baking has. It truly reminded us all of Armenia. What made it even more special was the personal touch - she customized the gatas with the initials of the bride and groom, which looked beautiful and made them feel so unique. First of all — the gata! It is delicious in ways that my words will fall short of describing. Slightly sweet, creamy, soft, and oh-so buttery! YUM. When I finish my slice, there are no crumbs left on the plate – I make sure of it. It’s authentically Armenian, and it’s indulgent! I still can’t decide which I love more — the classic version, or the one filled with apricots and walnuts! Now let’s talk about the packaging. Every detail is carefully crafted and thought out. The box design is the beautiful Armenian eternity sign, Հավերժության նշան, and the material feels like velvety goodness under my fingertips. In this instance judging a book by its cover is actually ok!

I got the traditional gata and it was everything I wanted in a dessert. Many desserts are far too heavy for me to enjoy and still feel good after but this was just the right combination of sweetness and substance! Definitely going to be a staple for me from now on! And portions are very generous, sharing with a group is very doable… if you can bring yourself to share. 😅
