Molly’s Cupcakes

I’ve been to multiple other Molly’s locations. So I was super excited to see this one while we were at the mall. When I walked in, the cupcakes looked extremely dry. There was one customer in front of me. She looked in the case for a minute, and then walked out without buying anything. I should have done the same. But I decided to give it a try anyway, which was a huge mistake. I ordered a vanilla cupcake with chocolate frosting, and a cherry cheesecake. Cupcake - 0/5. Seriously. This cupcake was probably several days (or more) old! I could literally knock on the frosting with my hand, that’s how hard it was. The cake was dry, dense, and stale tasting. I ordered two strawberry cheesecakes, a cake batter cupcake and a strawberry shortcake cupcake. I’m genuinely shocked by how bad it was. The cupcakes tasted old, dry and dense. The cheesecakes were very artificial in taste made with low quality ingredients. The 3.9 rating on google is accurate and i strongly suggest you spend your money elsewhere if you are craving something sweet.

We can't day enough good things about Molly's Cupcakes. Oak Brooks store didn't disappoint either. The store associate was warm and welcoming. Offered a suggestion to try. We ordered one as we were trying a many places at the mall The cupcake was soft and the taste was delicious. We enjoy their cupcakes so much, we had them for out daughters wedding reception instead of cake.

I just got “mollywhopped.” I purchased three cupcakes - key lime, strawberry shortcake, and the churros flavor. Also, I bought their rice krispie treat and the oatmeal cookie. Everything was off, including the flavor, texture, and sweetness. The cupcake frosting tasted like whipped unsalted butter. I was shocked and disappointed. Did someone forget to add sugar? The Krispie treat was bland and reminded me of a commune waffle. The tasteless cookie literally crumbled before I could chow down. I'm not a happy man right now. How could I go on? I can't be the only one who feels this way.
