Mini Mart Caribbean Grocery & Cuisine

The store side is excellent, the restaurant has me suspect. Ordered Oxtail entree and curry goat $19.99 and $14.99 plus tax respectively. Was not impressed with the portion for the oxtail price. Mostly bone and small pieces. Additionally, my curry goat was scrapping from the bottom of the pan (I watched it) then warmed up in the microwave which means it was sitting there for sometime. Would have expected more cabbage as well, since it is an inexpensive side. Not saying the food was bad but quantity of the main entree should be addressed. I would fair better buying my own and using the seasonings from the store.

Small Caribbean grocery store - the people that work in this store are from the Caribbean and all very helpful when I asked questions about the food items sold there. You can get things such as jerk seasonings, fresh Irish moss, soursop, and many other items used in the Caribbean culture. On the other side of the grocery store , soon as you walk in, is a small restaurant that has meals that are well known in Jamaica. I stopped in to pick up an oxtail meal plate for dinner. We have had it many times before and it is always great. The food was good today also. I feel it is one of the best Jamaican places in the Charleston area. Accessible parking is available .

This is our favorite spot to eat! We absolutely love it! We were so excited to find this place a while back! We come every chance we get! The staff are so polite their food is absolutely amazing it’s a clean environment and the minute you walk in the door you are taken away by the amazing smell of the Jamaican food 😍 but wait it doesn’t stop there! It’s a mini mart as well! I was blown away by this place and here we are yet again coming in for the food!

Exceeded all expectations! Amazing jerk chicken and rice and peas (from food truck) - and I've had it in Brooklyn and Jamaica. What an amazing find! We will be back.

So I'm a little disappointed. I went here because its closer to home. I ordered curry chicken,rice, & cabbage and the jerk chicken peas and rice for someone else. The cabbage was the only thing thay had seasoning on my plate. The curry only had the color and theg didnt give me that much of the curry sauce on my food. The peas and rice had no flavor the jerk chicken was nice because of the sauce. I don't think I'll be back. I'll drive the extra miles for the other location.
