Mimosa Courtyard Inn

This bed-and-breakfast is simply amazing. The home is well-decorated and has beautiful antiques. The owners Dan and Toni have paid attention to every detail. We stayed in the Irish room which is the only room that does not have an en suite bathroom -which was not a problem. The bathroom was directly across the hall and had every amenity we could want. I also found wonderful plush robes hanging in the closet in our room. The Irish room also had a lovely balcony and had the weather been warmer I would have loved to have enjoyed it more. Breakfast was amazing ! First we were served a lovely parfait of vanilla yogurt & granola with Mandarin oranges topped with a chocolate biscotti. This was followed by the most delicious quiche, potatoes, meat, and a lovely arrangement of tomato and fresh mozz

This B&B was perfect for the group I was part of and I’ve received many thanks from them for discovering and booking it. We rented the whole house and spent much of our time on the beautiful screened-in porch and doing tours through the rooms, seeing all the unique and interesting items. It is within walking distance of stores and restaurants. Hollidaysburg is a delightful community with many beautiful historic houses. We were very happy with this choice and would return. My siblings (from NJ & Seattle) and I (from Boston) convened in Hollidaysburg to attend a family funeral in the area and were fortunate enough to get rooms on short notice. The owners, Toni & Dan were very welcoming and attentive to our needs without being intrusive, a tough balance to strike. I very much appreciated their ability to meet our dietary restrictions (2 of us are type 2) at breakfast, which was perfectly delicious. The rooms are all spacious, clean and comfortable. I was also impressed by the availability of every toiletry one might conceivably need in the bathrooms, a boon for the forgetful. Convenient indoor parking is available in the adjacent former stables which they also own. If you find yourself in the area (the town itself is quite charming, so don't wait for a funeral

I recently stayed at the Mimosa and was blown away!! The B and B is a stunning building that Dan and Toni ( the proprietors ) completely renovated. Being that Dan is an artist/craftsman the house looks like a beautiful art project. Stunning lighting fixtures (made by Dan), unique furniture and decorations fill the property. Each room is well appointed, comfortable and different . The owners pay attention to small details like tiny tubes of toothpaste and razors left for guests. Breakfast was one of the best ever!! Toni and Dan consider guests likes and dislikes and dietary restrictions . I would eat here even if I didn't stay here!! I travel extensively and stay in many B and B"s and this was one of the nicest ever.

I have never left a review for any overnight stay in my life and I'm happy to make this my first. ||||First, the people. Dan and Toni were very hospitable, to the point that they make you feel like family (and not the type of family that you don't want to visit!) ||||The well-documented history of the property is on display throughout the main floor (photos, furnishings, etc.). This floor features several comfortable sitting areas as well as the dining room and kitchen. Also included are both a screened-in porch and a furnished courtyard. ||||Upstairs are all of the themed bedrooms.
