MidPointe Library Liberty

MidPointe Library Liberty is the nicest library I have ever had the privilege of having access to! They have an impressive catalogue of books, as well as DVD/Blu Ray, video games, board games, activity and learning kits, and more. The ability to have books held and transferred to my library from other locations inside the library system is an incredible plus, and they offer wonderful patron and outreach services. I haven't had the chance to catch any of their scheduled events, but they host events for people of all ages every month, from story times to children to learn to play Dungeons & Dragons. I look forward to using MidPointe for years to come, and feel so grateful that our community has such a wonderful library system!

Staff was so helpful and ready to answer all my questions and help me get my card situated. Lots of study friendly spots and very clean environment overall.

Very well managed library in Liberty township, OH. Lot of stuffs for kids.

My family and I attempted to attend Noon Years Eve event on December 31st. We got there about 30 minutes before the event started and there were only a few people waiting. As the event time grew closer the lobby started to fill with children under 5. The event was for ages 5-12 years according to the flyer. The library could not accommodate everyone that showed and they did not honor those that were there first and waiting as opposed to those that had literally just walked in. My family and I did not get to participate due to the capacity and we drove 30 minutes to be there. We were able to get some hat cutouts from a special education volunteer that was there visiting with her class. I’m hoping that in the future it is more organized and no families are left out.

Response request: A message was sent to MidPointe Library System via its website, and a response has yet to be received. Please provide justification for the Library allowing an adult male employee presenting as a female to conduct in-person activities for toddlers. Please advise as to the background check and/or vetting process for staff members in positions where they interact with minors. Note: this written response will be escalated to the Middletown City Council, as the taxing authority of the Library. Thank you in advance.
