Michael's Trattoria

Ok another great location that is a must go! Michaels trattoria in Wallingford CT is off the hook! The staff, food, and overall family feel will keep you going back again and again. Check them out you will love it.

We had a nice dinner at Michael's Trattoria. We started with the calamari Sicilian style, which was flavorful and had a great kick. The side salads with gorgonzola were fresh and well-portioned. I had the penne vodka and my wife had the chicken parmesan — both were solid and satisfying, though not quite standout dishes. We were seated in the back bar area where our waitress was also handling the bar, so service was a bit stretched, but she still managed to be friendly and attentive despite the workload. Overall, a good meal in a relaxed setting. We'd come back to try a few other dishes on the menu!

Standard quality food, calamari was very tasty. Tried to order an Italian coffee (amaretto, hot coffee with whipped cream) , server was totally confused. Got a tepid coffee with a half shot of sambuca and a little pitcher of milk. Server was amenable but seemed to be elsewhere in his mind. Another block down Center Street are at least two much better choices for Italian food. Don’t waste your time or money here!!

Quaint, old school Italian with a great bar and lots of regulars running elbows. Service was top notch, not a hiccup. The food unfortunately, was only meh. Meatballs tasted heavy on the pork and rubbery - probably over mixed. The huge portion of penne tasted pre-cooked, sauce was fine.

Had our company Christmas party here over the weekend, can't say enough what a great time it was! Food, service and drinks were amazing! Our server was great, she made sure no one had an empty glass and catered to our needs. The strip steak was cooked to perfection, the eggplant rollatini and cheese/meat platters were very tasty. Will be back again!
