MI Oaxaca

Went on valentines day and got the heart taco tray and heart shaped quesabirrias. The servers were super nice and the food was really good!

Just needed a quick bite, ordered 2 orders of beef tacos, each order comes with 4 perfectly sized tacos. With a house red and green sauce and a small side of cucumber salad with radishes. Everything was perfect, and the corn shells tasted amazing, usually the meat is where you find the most flavor, but with these, every bite has awesome flavor. I will absolutely be a regular. Thank you for your hard work and dedication, the restaurant buisness is getting harder and harder to succeed in, especially in illinois. So thank you again.

I have been frequenting Mi Oaxaca’s food truck for quite some time and was excited they opened a permanent restaurant that I can visit all year. Some of the items seemed a little different than what I’m used to, but it was still great plus, complementary chips & salsa. Tacos were spot-on with what I’ve been getting and service was phenomenal. I’ll be back!

Friday supper. Was very busy as restaurant recently opened. Was kindly greeted and wait time was minimal. Was taken aback by no booths only tables and they were way too close together as to try and get as many tables in the space as possible. Very crowded. Was brought chips, beans and salsa. All were good especially the beans. Fountain drinks and agua frescas. Okay menu. Ordered pork molé dinner, barbacoa dinner, one quesabirria taco, gordita de Chicharron and chicken tenders. Chicken tenders were good. Molé dinner only came with rice but no beans. Beans would have made that dinner perfect as the pork molé was delicious. I'm from Mexico and if you really want authentic Mexican food this is a great place, the state of Oaxaca Mexico is one of the best known for their great food, and cultural diversity and this is what they serve here, you won't find mole like the mole they have here very easy, authentic from Oaxaca, two different types, and they also have Tlayudas, (giant tostada, loaded with meat vegetables and cheese enough for 2 or 3 people), not easy to find those in the Quadcities.
