Meyer's Olde Dutch Beacon

We stopped here on our route south. Great find, I am NOT a burger person but the buns were soft and melt in your mouth, burger had good flavor. I enjoyed my pickles separately from the burger, they are definitely marinated in something that made them even more delicious. We had hand cut fries. Great place to eat in the very cute town.

Decided to walk down Beacon's main street after hiking 4 miles with daughter and son in-law in Storm King Mountain. Found Meyer's online and decided to indulge with burgers and fries. The food was delicious and came in fairly short time. My chili burger was great, as were the bacon burgers and the fries were crispy and seasoned to perfection. They also kept a large urn of ice water for the patrons. Price was reasonable and no surprised why the line is long but it moves very quickly. Definitely highly recommended.

Definitely has the potential to be a great stop; the food is solid but by the time it reached our table everything but the fries were cold. At that point, I’d rather they rolled everything out separately so we could at least eat a warm entree. The garlic aioli side we requested tasted incredibly sweet and I had the impression it came from a bottle, personally that was not a favorite. Aside from the food, the workers were a tad obnoxious talking to each other- very much the loudest people in the establishment. If those things were different, this probably would’ve been a 5 star place for me.

The food was so fire, I ordered on DoorDash I ordered a chicken sandwich and some fries. The fries are REAL potatoes, big plus lol I wanted to order again the next day lol. I definitely will be ordering again and putting my friends on. I want to eat in next time. It was messy lol but in a good way so it’s not like a lunch break at work type of meal I gotta put on some Netflix and lock in with the food.

Good spot for a quality burger with clean ingredients. I’d recommend the double Dutch. You can split the fries if you’re not into big portions, as they’re plenty big fo two. Overall a good casual vibe.
