Had made dinner reservations and were seated at our promised time in this surprisingly quiet, Merchants Row restaurant - a historic, refined dining room within Concord's Colonial Inn Our server Colin was pleasant, friendly, and was quick to take our order. After recommending some specials we stuck to Colin's recommendation of ordering some of the classics including Crispy Cauliflower Bits ($14), Black Bean Burger ($17), 12OZ NY Steak ($38), Yankee Pot Roast ($24), and Pasta for the kiddos! Was a very pleasant experience, quick service, and noise levels on the lower end. Highly recommend this place if you are in the historic town of Concord!

Had a great brunch at Merchant's Row today. Nearly everything was great - I really enjoyed the prime rib, omlettes, waffles, sides, etc. There was an entire room devoted to desserts, which was awesome. Service was good. Parking was a bit challenging. We had a great time and look forward to going again.

I’ve been making my annual pilgrimage to Concord every April since 2013, and this year, being the 250th anniversary of the Battle of Concord, the visit felt even more important. Somehow, in all those years, I’d never eaten at the Colonial Inn, which houses both Merchants Row and Liberty Row. After a 2.5-hour drive from Vermont, I decided it was time to change that. The layout inside is a bit of a maze, and though I initially followed signs to Liberty Row, a large event had the space fully booked. A kind gentleman working there directed me to Merchants Row, where I found a seat at the bar, ordered a Guinness, and went with their Yankee Pot Roast. Let me be absolutely clear: this is the best-looking and best-tasting pot roast I’ve ever had in a restaurant. What arrived was a tender, genero

Mismanaged hospitality. We tried to come here on an afternoon with the family. We walk in the door, no host or hostess to be seen. After wandering through the hotel we finally find them in the back of the hotel. The restaurants (two different ones apparently) are completely empty - but ‘no seats available’ everything is reserved. The Tap Room is ‘first come first serve.’ Head there - no one managing. How long is the wait? No one knows. Is there a wait list? Shrugs, nope. Folks, this isn’t that difficult. Have your host in a location to be available and present to greet people. It’s common to keep a few tables open for walk-ins at opening time, especially at a local establishment. And manage the bar room! Take names on a wait list, and offer your customers a drink and place to sit while th

Food 3/4, service 5, atmosphere 5 Butternut squash soup tasted off; sour maybe or needed sage or something. New England fish and chips. I ordered it bcse of a good review and I like the dish. The breading was ok but not crunchy like battered. It fell off the fish. The fish was a good solid chunk and delicious on its own. The tartar sauce was sharp with dill. The French fries were not the sweet potatoes but very tasty. Coleslaw had a very sharp taste. Only ate a bite. Dessert was warmed bread pudding with eggnog, whipped cream a scoop of vanilla ice cream and drizzled with maple syrup. Delicious but the bread was hard like chewing rubber. Service was excellent - fast and mannerly and the meal was served in good time. From convos around me, the chicken pot pie is a winner. Merchant's Row
