Melt n Dip

I recently visited Melt n Dip in Chicago, and it was a really enjoyable dessert experience. If you’re someone who loves rich, indulgent sweets, this place definitely delivers. We tried a couple of desserts, including a pistachio-based dessert and a pistachio shake, and both were quite good. The flavors were smooth, creamy, and well balanced—not overly sweet, which I really appreciated. The pistachio flavor stood out nicely and tasted fresh, especially in the shake, which was thick, chilled perfectly, and topped generously with whipped cream. It felt indulgent without being heavy. Cute and cozy gelato and creperie. Cute decor, felt modern with flair. They have a variety of different flavors and were kind to let us try a few before we ordered. No rush whatsoever! We sat in the high chairs but there was plenty of seating including outdoor as well. We did get gelato (which was smooth and not overly sweet!). Crepes looked amazing also shakes and juices too. A must try!

I recently tried their chocolate fondue platter and their signature pistachio-drizzled crepe with ice cream, and both were absolutely outstanding. The fondue platter was a showstopper—fresh bananas, juicy strawberries, tangy pineapple, and kiwi slices paired with fluffy marshmallows, soft brownies, and airy cream puffs. The highlight was the silky bowl of warm chocolate, marbled with white chocolate for a stunning finish. Every dip was a perfect bite—rich, smooth, and indulgent without being overly sweet. I haven’t been to others, but I think this location is the best. The warm inviting interior and large space (including outdoor when weather allows) has great ambiance. The selection of desserts, drinks, shakes, and fresh fruit is amazing! Definitely recommend for a small treat or the latest dessert trend.

I found this place a bit overrated. I ordered a waffle, and while the waffle itself was decent, it was completely drenched in milk chocolate—which was way too sweet for my taste. The ice cream was served on the side, but overall the dessert felt unbalanced and overly rich. Given the price, it didn’t feel worth the money. Might not return unless they tone down the sweetness or offer customization options.
