Media-Upper Providence Free Library

Our local library is beautiful and offers so many conveniences to encourage a day of quiet reading for much needed "me" time to a Saturday morning with young ones who explore in their own fabulous space. Located at the corner of N. Jackson and E. Front Streets parking is metered unless you find a spot in the back of the building. On my last visit I was assisted by Shawn who was extremely helpful. Customer service, cleanliness, and organization are A plus!

Short version: Nice selection of books and programs offered. Lacks the quiet, cozy/inviting atmosphere you'd expect in a library. This is a nice little library that adds to the community. They offer children's story times, a film club, great book sales twice a year, along with other programs and events. The children's section is separated from the main area with windows so you don't have to worry if your kids are chatty. There is also an area for teens and computers available for use. My biggest complaint is that this isn't a quiet place. I really prefer the traditional quiet atmosphere of a library. And unfortunately the staff here regularly have in depth loud conversations. The noise often gets to the level you'd find in a cafe, not what you'd expect of a library..

The library is a welcoming community center with knowledgeable staff and free year-round programs for youth and adults. There is some free on-site parking and a 24-hour book drop. Their annual book sale offers a huge selection of hardcover and paperback books.

This library is spectacular! i went there to see if they had any comic books and novels and they have it all. good service, and lots of books and a nice building. They also have local programs and things like that. the only thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars is the fact that they usually don't have full series for multi part books but besides that this place is awesome. if you're in the area and looking for a library this is a great one to go to. will definitely be going there again

Fun assorted comic and manga selection. Better than most other Delco libraries within the 20+ library system. Always fun to see what’s available.
