Alpenhof Bed & Breakfast

I stayed here for a weekend as my friend's wedding was relatively close to here. It was an extremely unique property and I'm glad that I got to experience it, though I feel like I barely got to scratch the surface with how unique, intricate and beautifully designed and maintained the whole place is, including the pool and grounds. The hosts were great and took good care of us. The breakfasts were filling and the start to a good day with some solid, basic options to choose from. ||The property is an old barn and has been beautifully converted into a very gothic and rich styled bed and breakfast. This is the place for those who appreciate bright colors, stained glass, unique lighting, etc. We stayed in the "master bedroom" and it was just as richly appointed. However, it does have a vented

Beautiful old stone building. Wonderful historic charm and art all throughout the house. Outdoor pool (only open during summer, booking.com lied about it being heated and open).. Wonderful breakfast. Room was snug/comfy cozy and cute. Decent bed. Lots of beautiful wood working throughout... Nice host. Would stay again.

We stay at the Alpenhof every year for the past six years as we visit our relatives in Media on Thanksgiving. Roland and Anh have become our source of comfort and pleasure. The breakfast meals compete with any fine hotel. And Roland made us a take out bag of breakfast goodies he placed outside our room for our departure at 5 AM. Now that is service! You will be intrigued with the collection there of artifacts from all over the world. And the rooms are like art exhibitions. I hightly recommend the Alpenhof... just don't apply for our two rooms from Wednesday to Sunday during Thanksgiving. George and Marion Forman, Amherst, Massachusetts

Another lovely stay at Alpenhof - by far our preferred place to stay when we visit Media. The tucked-away location is so peaceful, and Roland is a very kind and congenial host. The garden cottage is both spacious and cozy, and breakfast is plentiful and delicious. Highly recommend.

Wonderful experience. This was our second stay. The property, house and appointments, are lovely. Enjoy the collections of art and beautiful gardens. The location is perfect for proximity to Media, highways and early morning hikes at Ridley Creek State Park before work. The hosts are excellent- wonderfully welcoming and helpful, yet not overbearing. Breakfast is quite special. Will definitely be back.
