McGraw-Hill Education

Just completed my master's in accounting and most of my classes used McGraw-Hill textbooks, which were all delivered electronically through the Canvas learning management portal. As the assignments, quizzes, and exams required you to access the portal to complete them, there was no option to buy the hardcover textbook version instead. Thus, students have no choice but to choose the electronic option. There was also a time limit on its use, so you are renting access to the content for the duration of the class. Honestly, this is a ripoff as it feels like I paid full price for the book, but I do not get to keep the book for future reference. If the authors want students to understand the content and apply it professionally, I think giving them the option to access the content in the future
