I cannot believe how AMAZING the food is. I’m only in Utica for a few days & this is my second time ordering from here. (I’ll be back tomorrow). I was raised in Haiti & I’m so picky about how the food is supposed to taste & listen to me…THIS IS IT! 100000/10. The flavors are perfect. & the owner is the sweetest & most hospitable person ever. I highly recommend this restaurant. There’s flavor for everyone ! Love love love.

May’s Kitchen is a gem for authentic Haitian food. May—the friendly owner and cook—welcomes everyone like family, and her dishes are packed with rich, traditional flavor. From perfectly seasoned meats to amazing rice and beans, everything tastes homemade and heartfelt. A warm atmosphere, generous portions, and incredible food make this spot an easy five-star choice.

This was my first time trying Haitian food and it will most certainly not be my last! Everything tasted amazing 🤤 The beautiful business owner inside was so helpful and very generous with letting me try things before purchasing. Super positive energy and outstanding customer service. She even had pepper sauce for sale for me to bring home and share with my family. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND to everyone.

An Uber Driver recommended I try this restaurant out and I was not disappointed, the food is delicious and made with care. The owner is very proud of her restaurant, which is a rarity these days. She also called me to make sure I wasn't allergic to shrimp that Shrimp Mac and Cheese was delicious!!! Good Ribs and Potato Salad. Steamed Cabbage and Rice to compliment the meal. My new regular lunch and dinner spot. Enjoy!

The atmosphere was amazing. May was very welcoming and generous with the food. I am from NYC & it’s been hard for me to find really good Haitian food and this spot definitely has gotten my heart. It was absolutely amazing! I will definitely be back for sure. I ordered Griot with black rice and cabbage, beet potato salad & Pikliz. (Pickled cabbage)
