Masu Japanese Bistro

Pretty tasty! A little over priced for what you get. But it’s was an enjoyable time

Perfect little gateway to delicious rolls, tempura and more. Slightly hidden away, but a perfect place to wind down in the evening, with some crisp beer, and some good Sushi. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and were happy with both the food, as well as the service.

The sushi was fresh and tasty. The service was pretty fair, considering we were the only people in the restaurant. The restaurant had a bad odor, which is why I am deducting a star.

We used to come here often after hikes. Today’s lunch was very disappointing. The tofu salad was terrible! and they used firm tofu instead of silken. And the sauce wasn’t good either. My sashimi was cut in huge chunks. After bringing the food, the waitress never showed up to check on us. The plus side… the restaurant is in a nice court yard and we can bring our dog with us. Finally when she brought us the bill, we told her about the tofu salad, she was rude and told me we were the first one to complain about the tofu. So I removed one star from the service.

Sushi roll is one of my favorite food. However the rice used on their sushi is not sticky rice. Seems to me that the restaurant is just an imitation and not authentic Japanese since the staff are chinese. The wasabi had no pungent taste at all. It maybe expired. We had to ask for extra ginger but the waitress nevercame to us and ask if we needed anything else or ask how was the food. The food served tasted average but not worth the price.. Btw, their washroom is clean..
