Mama's Restaurant

Mama’s Restaurant is located just a short drive off of 701 in North Carolina-just before the SC state line. 701 is a main road to the very busy Myrtle Beach area, and I encourage travelers to get off the highway and check out this little town of Tabor City. Stepping into Mama’s is like going back in time. So, no, it’s not modern in any way, but that makes it cool. It was clean and everyone was very friendly, and the food was great and super reasonably priced. It’s a great meal to enjoy before you get to the expensive Beach. Note they are only open Tuesday through Saturday 4 AM to 11 AM so I’m talking breakfast! Lol

We stopped in on our way home from the beach and loved this little diner. We sat at the bar and it was full of friendly locals. The sweet girl we had serve us was very friendly.

A fabulous visit, perfect breakfast pancakes and bacon, lovely hospitality. A true find.

Passing through town and stopped on a Saturday morning. Wasn't too busy. Service was top notch and all workers were very friendly. Sat down and ordered in less than 2 minutes. Got our food within 10. Food was excellent and priced right. Small town location but big time feel. Ate breakfast only. If in the area would highly recommend. They love to serve!
