Dale's Seafood

Free salad bar with meals, the fried seafood is solid, but everything else is mediocre to super bland. Had the oyster stew, that's just oyster in milk water with butter. The boiled shrimp is exactly that, boiled shrimp without seasoning. The clam chowder was salty and bland at the same time. If you go here, only get the fried seafood. Fried shrimp and oysters are good and fresh. Our food took about 30-40 mins to arrive after ordering, which is usually slow for a fried seafood place, the place was about half full.

Although it was crowded at lunch time, our order was taken and filled promptly! We heard about this place on a YouTube channel called Baby Bronco & Big Trike. The food was delicious and well prepared. The parking lot was full but easy to get in and out.

Dale’s Seafood is a great place for delicious food. The portion sizes are quite generous and the prices are very reasonable. The food is great tasting and the servers are friendly and efficient. We usually get the regular seafood platters. It’s more than we can eat and will bring leftovers home that warm up great in the air fryer. One trip to the salad bar comes with most meals. The salad bar is fresh and has lots of options. Oh, and hush puppies / corn dodgers come with your meal! Whatever you want to call them, they aren’t to be missed! If you haven’t been because you can’t imagine how a seafood restaurant in Tabor City could be as good as one at the beach, you’re missing out. As a local all my life and generations deep, I can tell you this is where the locals go. You won’t be disappoint

Lunch special comes with 1 trip to the salad bar. Shrimp & deviled crab were very good. I was very pleased with my lunch and would definitely stop again. Prices are better than the calabash restaurants I normally visit.

Absolutely horrible, only giving it 1star because 0 isn’t an option. I ordered a deluxe shrimp plate and asked them to replace the slaw with extra fries. And this is what I got for almost 20$…overcooked shrimp…looks refried. And 11…yes…11 whole French fries. The food all tastes like it was cooked in the same old grease together. Do yourself a favor and head to Calabash for real seafood.
