Mama's Kitchen

We have been a few times now that we live in the area. The pic is their fried mushrooms, they are delicious. I've also tried the chicken fried chicken with gravy. So far everything has been awesome.😊 There are daily lunch specials.

This was our first visit and we had such high hopes. We love finding little hidden gems for breakfast spots. This isn’t it! I ordered scrambled eggs, bacon, grits and toast. My husband ordered chicken fried steak, eggs over medium, grits and toast. The coffee was fine and the service was friendly. When our food came out everything was cold. My eggs were over hard and chopped up…nothing close to scrambled. The grits were so cold they wouldn’t melt butter. Everything was a real disappointment. We’ll know better next time.

Quirky, rough, but good food and service. We stopped for breakfast and were not disappointed. However when the waitress delivered an order of onion rings nearby I nearly changed my order! Well worth stopping if you’re in the area.

Chicken fried steak was gigantic!!! And so good. Fried pork chops brown gravy Was excellent. All the sides were great. Had the frito pie as a starter It hit the spot. Home made cake to end the meal.. It is definitely a good spot!

We a couple of old guys who like old style food and service. We were staying in Brenham and looking for a good breakfast place. We found Mama’s. I had the chicken fried steak with my two eggs. My friend had the grilled pork chop with his. The food was just what we were looking for and the service was great. We will definitely be coming back next time we are in the area.
