absolutely delicious with large portion sizes! i got the chicken shawarma plate with rice and it came with pickled veggies, a side salad, and hummus. the best part was the garlic sauce it comes with. greatly appreciated the service as well! my new fave spot at uri.

Right next to Kingston Mart and CVS — super easy for URI students and masjid visitors. Mama, What’s Cooking has both indoor and outdoor seating, and it’s a great chill spot - VERY clean! I *highly* recommend the Kofta Kebab plate, Chicken Tawook, and Beef Kebab (like steak), Falafel 🧆 (vegetarian option), and Tabbouleh salad 🥗 — not just my favorites, they’re to die for, especially the steak, Tawook and kofta. The food is super fresh and made to order. Everything is حلال halal, and you can taste the difference — even the meat is really clean, not greasy, bloody smelling or heavy. Fantastic! My new favorite local spot. Food is fresh and delicious, and the owner is so welcoming and friendly. I had the combo plate and all the meats were tender and tasty. You get sauce to go with it, garlic sauce is 👌 also the falafel is the best I’ve had in the area. Highly recommend! 10/10

Excellent food! Lamb kabob wrap with falafel was super good. I sat and chatted with the owner and he was very friendly and accommodating. 10/10

I was looking for a place to get good Chicken Shawarma without going to Providence. I found this place near URI. Awesome food and very welcoming!! I will go back again without hesitation.
