Small, quaint, cozy dining room with a good ambiance. The owners, staff, and chef are just wonderful, very sweet and nice people. The food is amazing!!! Creole cooking with a bit of creativity, especially with the dipping sauces. I had the jambalaya and dirty rice balls. My girlfriend had the fried green tomatoes. There isn’t anything on the menu that isn’t good. Highly recommend, with the drive if are in the Raleigh area.

A great family owned Creole restaurant. We tried the “eat the house” dish on the menu which is a sampler plate including the Gumbo, Jambalaya, Etoufee, red beans, chicken, shrimp and fried ribs. For dessert we tried the fried sweet potato pie. It was all delicious. Highly recommend.

The service is absolutely wonderful but the food needs SO much help, especially with the prices being what they are. Third time eating here, first time was soon after they opened and they had the absolute BEST po'boy I'd ever eaten. Second time the food came out cold and they were supposed to fix it....well they threw everything back in the frier, fried it to death. I couldn't eat it but still had to pay for it. The third time was today. Blackened chicken po'boy was okay but the fries were burned all too heck. I think at this point I'm going to have to stop coming here, it's far too expensive and I'm just not feeling like I will ever get the same quality I got when they first opened. I wish them all the best in the world though.

This was my First time stopping by today 5/22/24 I had heard so many many great things and read so many great reviews and wanted to stop by and try there food I ordered shrimp,shrimp, chicken gumbo million dollar collards and soul rolls which was all great choices the staff was very welcoming and friendly the building was beautiful with art work and very clean and up to date I would highly recommend mama nem’s as my homest rating is 5 stars

Best shrimp and grits I've had in the 42 years I've been on this earth. Great home town atmosphere little restaurant. Absolutely recommend!
