Coming here is a trip down memory lane as my family regularly ate here in the 90s when we would trek out to Flushing for a full day of errands. It was our reward before the long drive home. Of course over time the chefs and preparation of the dishes have changed. I can’t fault them for things not tasting like they used to, I’m nostalgic for something that can’t be replicated. It is still hits the spot though and satisfies that tasty rice craving. I hope this place continues to thrive as we certainly don’t need more fast food chains erasing our food memories.
Had the Hainanese chicken and Roti Canai here—both were delicious! The chicken was tender with fragrant rice, and the bun came warm and fluffy with a rich curry filling. Cozy, casual spot that feels like a true taste of Malaysia in Flushing. Great comfort food and friendly service!
Stumbled upon this hole in the wall last weekend. We ordered the Roti Canai, Beef and Chicken Satay, Beef Rendang, Barbecue Skate, Kangkung Belacan, Shrimp with Cream, Tomyum noodles. What a feast! Everything was delicious and it brought me back home Malaysia. A must try!!!
This hole in the wall place is the Best Malaysian Restaurant ever!!!! I've been going to them for over 20++ years & their food has never disappointed!!! Their Curry Chicken, Snake Fish, Satay, Hainanese Chicken w Chili sauce with Oily rice, Shrimp with cream & Lobak are all delicious!!! Must try!!
Customers, beware! These tip beggars demand large tips despite providing terrible service and maintaining an unhygienic environment. There were food scraps from previous diners all over the place, and we even found a rock in our food. Despite the awful experience, we still left a $2 tip out of courtesy, yet instead of appreciation, they yelled at us. Perhaps their boss is exploiting illegal workers, or they simply don’t understand that tipping is optional. Either way, we’ll be taking our business elsewhere.
