Makondo Restaurant Ossining

We love Makondo! Their selection and variety are authentic Colombian meals. We have gone to eat at their locations and enjoy their catering service for our events - the empanadas are always a hit! I would recommend their cuisine for the whole family or events. Staff and friendly and quick!

Anytime I drive through a new neighborhood and see a Colombian restaurant, I have to pull over and try the food without exceptions. This was the case with this place. Just happened to see it as I was passing through and pulled over for their lunch special. Very affordable place and the food is really good. We ordered 2 chicken soup lunch specials, a small and a large,. The small is just a bowl of soup, but the large comes with a side platter of grilled steak, rice, beans, fried plantains, and an arepa. Even though it is a lunch special, they don't skimp on the portions, and everything was cooked well. We also had their chicken empanada as well as their beef empanada, and both were delish. All this plus 2 drinks for only 32 bucks! Best deal in town and delicious as well!

I love Columbian style empanadas with the corn breading. This place has a really nice selection of baked products. I tried the Chicken, Beef & Hawaiian (ham and pineapple) fillings. They have outdoor seating in front right on the Main Street by the library. Waitress was friendly 🤗

I love the food here. Especially their empanadas. The food will take you back to Colombia. The customer service is amazing and fast.

The place is small and comfy, the service is great, the food is excellent, I had the grilled chicken with mushrooms sauce, the mini bandeja paisa, and the steak, everything tasted fresh and with great flavor, the millojas and the tres leches also tasted fresh, I recommend you this place to visit and eat there
