Main Street Cafe is the lunch spot in downtown Collins! The quintessential meat and 2 or 3. The “meat” changes daily but always has the old-faithfuls. Fried chicken, baked chicken, chicken and dressing, country fried steak, meatloaf and more, depending on the day. Hot veggies; Lima beans, green beans, green peas, corn and more… Cold salads of potato salad, slaw, tomatoes and cucumbers… And desserts! Cakes, puns cake, chocolate cake, pudding, pies, cobblers and crumbs. You could go everyday and have a different meal, or have the same one! Great service, old-charm comfortable dining room. Good value. A gift shop is attached. This is your one-stop-shop for all things good-n-stuff in Collins!

A great place for a quick lunch! We stopped while traveling. $12 includes meat, two veggies, cornbread or roll, dessert, and a drink. (Served on a Styrofoam plate)You select food and pay at the counter, then a waitress brings you the utensils (plastic) and takes your drink order. The extra large Styrofoam cup leaves you with a to go cup. The food was excellent. I would have preferred real silverware, a real plate, and a real glass. Our landfills are full, and this country doesn't recycle. Overall, we may stop again. I'm not sure. It was a quick hot meal.

Great food and friendly people! $12 + tip for all of this is an insane deal.

Sweet deal for traditional southern-style food served with a generous smile and ample portions! Highly recommend. My only small disappointment was the blueberry cobbler (NOTE: I'm extra snobby when it comes to desserts). For me, it was a bit too sweet and had biscuit mix for the breading instead of a pie crust pastry. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed the simple goodness at a great price.

Food was great. Good ol home style cooking. Staff was very friendly. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm working that way.
