Maguire House Bed & Breakfast

My wife and I had a wonderful 2 night stay at Maguire House Bed & Breakfast. Terry and Paul were warm and helpful hosts. My wife is gluten free, and Terry quickly responded positively to an email prior to booking about their ability to provide GF breakfasts. We stayed in the Rose room, which had a private hall bathroom (bathtub and shower). The bedroom was bright and airy with a comfortable bed. There were also snacks and chocolates in the room. Coffee, tea, water, soda, wine, and beer are always available in the breakfast room. Additionally, Terry makes a yummy treat each afternoon as a snack. Breakfast was delicious each morning, starting with fruit and a fresh baked good and then the hot special or any type of eggs and bacon. We greatly enjoyed the fresh muffins and scones alon

The lovely Maguire House is one of nicest stays we've ever experienced. We booked 3 nights in all three rooms for a family event in a nearby town. We were kindly welcomed by Innkeepers Terry and Paul with a smile, chilled wine and cold local brews, along with freshly made treats from the kitchen. Terry is a fabulous cook, serving up a full breakfast every day, plus homemade afternoon treats - amazing! We hiked the short walk to Upper Naukeag Lake while there, and spotted a young eagle's roost, as well as the loon pair that we heard calling each night as we fell into slumber in the beautiful Wisteria room. That was magical. Mt. Monadnock is a pretty view across the lake from the Wisteria and Rose rooms, and visible from the grounds, as well. A relaxing full porch, beautiful gardens, fragran

A beautiful location and home to spend a peaceful weekend. We’ve stayed in all 3 rooms now and loved each one. The Maguires are wonderful hosts making you feel comfortable and like family in their spacious home. Terri is a phenomenal baker. Breakfasts are deliciously made each morning. Plenty to drink and snack on too. Great advice on locations to visit, or places for dinner. We will be back!

The Maguire House is a gem! I stayed here during peak leaf-peeping season to write, and it was perfect! Terry and Paul are wonderful hosts! I found beautiful, inspiring views; copious amounts of coffee and tea; delicious breakfasts; tasty afternoon treats; a very clean and spacious bedroom and bathroom; lovely outdoor spaces for a refreshing walk; and plenty of restaurants or attractions within driving distance. I highly recommend and hope to have the opportunity to go back!

First time at the Maguire house, it is a stunning landscape with mist coming off the mountains and the reservoir outback and a lovely walk down to the water. The inside of the house is a historical with really immaculately, clean and intriguing decor with some of the walls painted with local scenes And other rooms matching decor to the name of the room like the rose room. The rooms at the back have a lovely view of the water fountain and the lake and the forest surrounding and you feel like you are the only house out there with all of the foliage entries, just beautiful. Terri and Paul are great Host and Terry makes delicious food to your request and lots of delicious baked goods.
