Maestro Empanadas

Maestro is a real OG!!! He literally brought food to me mums car, for the whole dang family! I adore the cheese, humita, and beef Empanadas (Cheese is amazing!!! Beef and Humitas are excellent, too!) The Chimichurri is just as good as the Empanadas, and the Habanero sauce hits hard with spice lovers fashoe!

Excellent flavor & service! We’ll be back for sure. My sisters fav was the bbq pork. I haven’t tried all of mine yet, but loved the humita & breakfast

I can’t believe it took 5 years to try this place. The Argentinian empanadas, salads and sauces are super fresh, flavorful, and masterfully crafted. So delicious, healthy, and satisfying. And also very affordable. It’s takeout only and made to order. This should be on your weekly meal rotation - especially if you live in old Coralville! (Please don’t let the modest storefront exterior fool you!)

I had to edit my previous 5 star review, I wish I could give another 5 stars. I had a very rough appointment today and decided to order some empanadas as a pick me up and it made a very rough day so much better. It is hard to find a restaurant that consistently maintains a high standard in product and service. Every time I order from here the food is perfect. The humita are my personal favorite. The empanadas are so cute and well made, the filling is flavorful and warming. The chimichurri here is my favorite I've had from anywhere. The service is always great, one of the last times I ordered from here my boyfriend and I had my baby with me and he brought the food out to my car! If you get different types he draws pictures of each shape and what flavor it is. Little things like that really

Just had a chicken and beef empanada from Maestro Empanadas, and wow, they were amazing. The flavors were on point, and the texture of the dough was perfect—crispy on the outside, soft inside. Felt like I was having a taste of Spain. Definitely coming back for more. Highly recommend!
