The coffee is amazing! We had an iced oat latte and almond cappuccino and both were delicious. We went on opening day and they had live jazz music performing in the corner. Plenty of stadium-style seating, and they do have a restroom. As far as the food, we had an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese—which was just okay. The almond croissant was better. Overall, I would go for the coffee over the food!
Much needed cafe in the area since La Colombe closed. Good ambience cafe for lounging/studying. The staff was friendly and they have interesting flavored lattes - ordered a principessa (white chocolate, raspberry, vanilla), which was a bit too sweet for my liking, but the espresso tasted good.
Madman Espresso on 11th Ave is a strong new addition to the neighborhood. The space blends industrial and warm elements beautifully — exposed concrete and ductwork balanced by wood paneling, soft lighting, and clean, modern tables. The vintage Fiat in the corner adds character without feeling overdone. It’s comfortable whether you’re stopping in for a quick espresso or settling in for a while. There’s even a raised seating area with chess boards looking out onto 29th Street. The coffee is well executed and, notably, well priced compared to nearby spots. Espresso is $3.75, cappuccinos run about $5.25–$5.75, and lattes sit in the mid-$5 range — generally a bit below what you’ll pay at many Hudson Yards or Chelsea cafés. The menu covers the essentials — espresso drinks, matcha, chai — plus
Best Flat White I've had in NYC so far and a really nice relaxed atmosphere.
Great coffee and zucchini bread!
