Madeline 1982 Bakery and Restaurant

Adorable authentic French bakery & restaurant! Coffee, bread, pastries and lunch (the brie, caramel & walnut crepe and sour cream, bleu cheese, caramelized onion crepe) were fantastic and portions were large. Madeline was so friendly & helpful, as was the server. Can’t wait to return!

An absolute must visit when you go to Lake George! My favorite place to get lunch. The atmosphere is beautifully curated. We have been here twice already in different seasons - summer and now, fall. The owner is delightful and from France, so it is an authentic French boulangerie / restaurant. The food! You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu- all the pastas and salads and crepes are amazing! Also it is dog friendly. A major plus when traveling to Lake George with a dog.

This bakery is a true gem. We finally made it to this spot on the last day of our trip although I had planned to go from the beginning. The bakery is located a little off the Main Street but it’s very short walk. I have to say if you’re driving by it’s very easy to miss it. My friends and I arrived here on a Tuesday morning and we were immediately greeted by Jocelyn our server. We just wanted a good coffee and some treat so we all got cappuccinos and croissants. The cappuccino was the best I had in my entire stay in Lake George. The girls and I made it a point to order one at every location we went to and nothing compared this place. It was delicious! The croissant was fresh, delicate and had the perfect layered crisp. The place is truly beautiful, it honestly feels like you’re in Europ

I was looking forward to trying this breakfast spot but was unfortunately let down. We had a croissant and pain a chocolate and they were so disappointing. No flakey pasty, very dense, and minimal buttery flavor. We've lived in Paris and to state you make pastries with their technique is misleading. Next our main entrees I had two Nutella strawberry crepes. They came out ice cold which is not standard for any crepe I've ever had. Almost like the make them ahead and then just put filling in to order. Another table also commented on their cold crepes. My husband got an overcooked scrambled egg and two small rounds of bread with salad that had Italian dressing on it. Very strange and not what was listed on the menu. The waitresses was very nice but sorry to say I would not recommend coming to

Excellent food. The crêpes are delicious and the other breakfast items are also fantastic. The owner is very detail oriented and the food is prepared perfectly and is very tasty without being overly salty. Atmosphere is great. They are a bit understaffed so service takes a bit longer than I would’ve liked, but the food was so good that in the end, I really didn’t care. The coffee is also excellent. Would definitely come back again.
