Mack's Bar-Be-Que

I want to say how grateful I am to the chef and employees at Mack’s Sterling location. I mistakenly selected the wrong time to pick up my order. I needed for 10:45 and accidentally placed the order for 11:45. This store was so accommodating to my mistake, and they don’t even open until 11:00. Good people, good food, good service. And still kind to me when I came to pick up. Grateful for this level of professionalism. Many thanks to the chef for making this happen so quickly. Thank you so much.

I’ve been here a handful of times, I like coming on Wednesday because the salad bar is $5 and it has salad fruit, soups, some choice of dessert multiple dressing and some really good crackers. I also always get the fried mushrooms they are my favorite and they are so good! Today we tasted the barbecue fries, I didn’t like the battered fries on them I wouldn’t get them again. Overall everything is good the atmosphere, the food and the service is excellent. I’ve always enjoyed my visits here.

I have driven by Mack's many times on the way to Jesup from Jacksonville and have always wanted to stop and try it. This time I did stop and was beyond happy I did. The food was great. I tried a little of everything. The service was excellent, and the place was nice inside. Thumbs up on all their meats and BBQ sauce. I will be back.

My brother in law took me here because he loves the pork skins with pimento cheese. They were just ok to me. It wasn't something I'd order. I ordered the chopped beef sandwich and it was okay but not great. I did like having fried mushrooms as a side though. And they do have quite a few different sauces to accompany your BBQ. But overall, I didn't find a lot that would make me want to go back. Service was excellent!

I placed a curbside pickup order today. Took about 6-8 minutes for someone to come see me then I had to wait more than 20 minutes to receive my food. I also was missing a drink. I will not be coming back for a long time this was a waste of time waiting 20 minutes for 4 chicken strips, a side salad, 2 drinks, and a side of fries. If I had known it would be such a long wait I would have gone somewhere else. Was not happy at all.
