Big Island Tropical Kitchen

I got the 3 entree (Steak, Jerk Chicken, Ox Tail, Fried Rice) at the cost of $24. I also asked for Potato Cakes witch they didn't have and Cheese Croquets that I didn't receive. The food was great and would definitely eat again. Service was like self checkout at Walmart it got the job done. I asked a few questions and either got a mumbling answer or nothing back. I let her know this was my 1st time eating there but she seemed not to care. The man cooking was much more attentive and vocal witch was good. That being said I recommend the food because it was great and I will try it again.

First time trying it out and everything was excellent. We had the 2 entree meal and were very impressed. They let us try sample some of the meats. We highly recommend it.

Recently, my husband and I visited Big Island which is located near Sam’s Club and Cheddar’s on Canal Crossing Road. We went on October 13th. It was very easy to find the restaurant because it is in a plaza with a big chicken logo. The restaurant is open Sunday through Friday, 11am to 9:30pm. This is a casual dining restaurant, very similar to chipotle. It has 2000’s music playing in the background with an island decoration vibe to it. The staff was super friendly, asking if we were from town or visiting and suggesting some of the food to try. I got a single entree with a base of fried rice and mac and cheese with curry chicken, with pickled onions on the side (I love pickled onions and these were amazing, they are made in house!) and crab rangoons. Underrated!!! Affordable price for REALLY good food! I paid about $15 for 2 entrees and sides or $17 for 3 entrees and sides (and I was full). The seasonings are great, I got some chicken in curry, smoked oxtails, and some lamb, and it was Fantastic 💯 The curry chicken and smoked oxtails are Especially delicious 😋 Also Ive never been a big fan of plantaines, but I tried one here and they really know how to make them sweet and yummy. I was sick of fast food slop, and I will definitely be back here anytime Im in the area 😄 The owners/workers are friendly too, pleasant place. Really good Hole-In-The-Wall, come try it 🔥!

I found this gem as we were driving south to Port Canaveral for a cruise and wanted something quick, but healthy and wholesome for our family to eat. Affordable prices Generous portions Family business charm. Check them out. Thank you for a delicious meal. My 4 year old loved the shrimp tempura. I loved the rice, jerk chicken and steamed vegetables.
