MaanKi Thali & Indian Street Food

A must try for vegetarian Indian food in Cincinnati! They have weekday and weekend thalis in addition to street foods and Indian inspired sandwiches. We ordered the weekend thali and these are the items included: welcome soup, Chaat & Farsan, Potato, Green mixed Vegetables, Paneer, Bean Curries, Fresh Roti & Puri, Dal & Rice, Khichdi-Kadhi,chaas (spiced buttermilk), Pickle, Fryums, Chutneys. It may look like small portions but in the end you are very full! It’s a good variety and the dishes are very tasty. The spice level is minimal. We really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Service is excellent. We dined there on a Saturday, early evening, and it wasn’t busy but probably at other times it is full, so calling to check table availability would be advised. We recently visited Maanki Thali & Indian Street Food for lunch around 1:00–1:30 PM and ordered quite a spread: Undhiyu Puri, Lilva Kachori, Gujarati Daily Thalis, Royal Gujarati Thali, Katka Dabeli, Maanki Special Sandwich, Mango Lassi, and Tea. Let me start with the positive — the ambience and seating are excellent. The place looks beautiful, well-decorated, and thoughtfully designed. The overall vibe is very inviting and comfortable. If I had to rate purely based on atmosphere, it would easily be 4.5/5. However, unfortunately, the food did not match the setting. The biggest issue was that almost everything was served cold. For a lunch service, we expected fresh and hot food, but the Undhiyu Puri, Thalis, Dabeli, Sandwich — everything felt like it had been sitting out. We even mention

As a vegan/vegetarian it can be difficult to find a delicious, high quality restaurant meal. We found it at MaanKi Thali and it is amazing. The quality is evident and the food is authentic. We had the opportunity to speak with the owners and she told us that she prepares everything from scratch each and every morning, and it shows! Here's another great thing about MaanKi Thali.... everything is served on copper plates/cups/utensils. Not only does it provide health benefits, it looks elegant also. We've just found our absolute favorite restaurant! One more thing, they have outdoor seating during warmer weather and you can bring your dog, score!

I recently organized a Holi Lunch event for a group of 15 women at the MaanKi Thali. The experience was amazing. The food and service were above and beyond! At our request, they played Holi themed music and as it was drizzling outside, on our request, let us play Holi colors indoors! The ethnic decor and serving dishes formed a beautiful atmosphere for the Holi celebrations! The pictures came out very colorful and festive. Would highly recommend MaanKi Thali for group events!

A new resturant to try. Take a break from the meat and potatoes. A vegetarian place that has all the flavors you crave. The Thali's are a complete meal. The 3 individual curries that day were lentil, potato and paneer. The other side dishes rounded the meal out with a salad, appetizer, breads and dessert. Also ordered the Bombay Bhel (a crunchy salad) and Lilva Kachori (like a croque). They can also make vegan thali. I will be going back.
