We tried M Thai on a date night and we couldn’t have chosen a better restaurant. We felt at home as soon as we walked through the door. We were seated quickly and given as much time as we needed to look over the menu. We ordered appetizers that were delicious. For our main courses we had duck pho and the crispy pad Thai, which was amazing. We didn’t order dessert but I’m sure it would’ve been great. This place is a must visit if you’re in Bangor.

Please order the fresh rolls. Their fresh rolls were the best ones I’ve ever had (unfortunately not pictured). I liked that every dish’s flavors were intense, but the rest of my family found the curries too spicy even after choosing milder ones. Our waiter was friendly though, so they probably would have helped us if we told them.

Food was okay, not bad. Sufficient portion size. Ordered: Crab Rangoon, Crispy Rolls, Vegan Thai Fried Rice (no egg), Vegetarian Fried Rice (with egg), Shrimp Red Curry, Chicken Green Curry.

My experience at M Thai Restaurant was quite underwhelming, with a few areas needing improvement. Curry: The curry lacked flavor and didn’t have the depth I was expecting. It felt rather bland and didn’t stand out. Soup: The soup was a big letdown—it was essentially just warm water with little to no taste or seasoning. Service: The service was disappointing. We were rushed to order just two minutes after sitting down, despite arriving nearly an hour before closing time. Ambience: The ambience was decent—nothing too extravagant, but it created a comfortable atmosphere to dine in. While the restaurant had some positives, the food and service didn’t meet expectations, making it hard to recommend.

Visited from out of town and had family style with 6 people. To start we had crab rangoon, scallion pancakes, and papaya salad. The scallion pancakes were very crispy and we loved the papaya salad. Stand outs from dinner were the duck choo chee, pineapple fried rice, and the crispy chicken. Loved the pork belly as well. Honestly it was all excellent. Flavorful, some spice but nothing crazy (we asked for things mild).
