Lunas Bar and Grill

First time visit and I really fell in love with this a cozy charm right in front of the San Gabriel Mission! The food, drink, and service…everything was so great! Definitely going back. The owner was a Dodger fan too that was a huge bonus for me too!!

It was a great atmosphere. It was very quite even with other customers at tables nearby. I guess I'm used to music being played. The caldos were tasty with veggies and perfect for the cooler weather. Our server was friendly and efficient. We also enjoyed our margaritas.

Nice Mexican restaurant in the area, we came on a weekday near closing time so there is not a lot of people inside. Friendly service and very tasty food. We had the lengua and flautas plate. Both are excellent although the price is definitely on the higher end side.

Lunas is a fabulous place to for a date night or with friends. They serve their drinks in Loteria jarritos. ;o) I’ve dined here several times with friends and the staff and service is great! Food is delicious. The atmosphere is cozy. There is street parking also plenty of free parking across and up the street.

Lunas is my go to destination every time I am in Los Angeles. I live in the east where Mexican food is not quite as sophisticated as in L.A. and I find myself wishing I could just drive down the street and enjoy the high quality food, excellent service and friendly staff and I especially love the atmosphere. The decor and ambience are exceptional (clearly the owners created an experience in dining with the fun and elegant vibe), and being located in the SG Mission district makes it all the more of an experience. Another thing unique about Lunas is the menu which offers regional specialties that I have not found anywhere else. Hand crafted cocktails, excellent ambience, service and hand crafted food presented beautifully makes Lunas my favorite every time I am in L.A.- love to bring fami
