Louie's

I really enjoyed everything I had. We started with sourdough bread, which was excellent. Scallops crudo was unique with a bit of hot peppers. Aged duck was very tasty. I enjoyed the desert least. Not a lot of interesting options and gelato I had was very ordinary compared the rest of the dinner. The restaurant is located in the renovated old building, a beautiful job making it feel both historic and modern. The service was attentive. Overall, a very pleasant dinner and we will be back

We had such an amazing experience at Louie's! The food was incredible — everything was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and you can feel the care that went into bringing the restaurant back after the fire. Our server, Kenny, was fantastic — friendly, attentive, and made the evening so enjoyable. You can tell the team truly cares about creating a great guest experience. Huge congratulations to James and the entire Louis team on the reopening — the restaurant looks stunning and absolutely delivers on every level. Can’t wait to come back soon!

Had an amazing first experience! Everything was perfect - from the music, decor, lighting, ambiance, drinks, food and service. This is officially my new favorite spot and where I will be bringing out of towners. Can’t wait to come back!

The return of Louie’s was worth the wait. You have to come here! Everything was excellent — the drinks, the food, and the service were 10/10. The spot is beautifully renovated… nice high ceilings with a beautiful wine fridge right in the center of the spot. I could not be more excited to have this restaurant back in Portsmouth.

Louie’s new location in Portsmouth is absolutely stunning—beautifully designed, warm, and inviting. From the moment we walked in, the experience felt elevated and thoughtfully curated. Exceptional atmosphere, attentive service, and a truly wonderful overall experience. A fantastic addition to Portsmouth’s dining scene.
