Los Cuates Taqueria

We had just arrived and checked into our Airbnb (only about two minutes away) when a friend was craving Mexican food, so we headed to Los Cuates Taqueria. The place was packed, which is always a good sign. I really enjoyed the tray of nachos, especially with the sauce bar lots of great options to customize the flavours. I ordered the veggie tostada and taco, and both were fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. My friends went with the quesa birrias and absolutely loved them. Overall, great food, lively atmosphere, and a solid choice if you’re nearby or looking for authentic, comforting Mexican food. Definitely worth the stop. 🌮

In a never ending search for the best burritos in the Bay, I’m glad I found another solid option in Los Cuates. Super nice folks behind the counter, clean, organized restaurant, a solid salsa bar, and fantastic food. The regular carne burrito was piping hot, and perfectly wrapped with a perfect balance of delicious meat, rice, beans, and salsa. Nothing groundbreaking, just solid Mexican food at reasonable prices served by nice folks. We need more places like Los Cuates.

Delicious burritos!! Super size is enough for two people. Salsa bar includes salsa, radish and peppers which all complemented the burritos. Good go-to for a burrito fix.

12/26/2025: The taco salads $14.50 are good at Los Cuates. If I have to eat something every other day, their taco salads would be it. The shell is flicky and not too crunchy. I like breaking it apart at the end and dip it onto the their different salsas. The green salsa is my favorite one. It is not that spicy and has good flavors. Good job my friends at Los Cuates. Original review: Food here is delicious. We had the tostada de ceviche, fried pork super burrito, chile verde and super nachos with steak. I like how the salsa bar is open. Most of the taquerias I've been to, their salsa bars were still closed. There are no labels on the salsa so it was an adventure to see which one was the spiciest. Hi Family if you’re ever in the area of South City and you want some really good Mexican food. You wanna stop by - the burritos are off the hook if you don’t think so. Check it out.
