Los Avina Mexican Restaurant

We have been here a few times for dinner. We have never had to wait for a table and have always had good, friendly service. The portions are really big and prices are reasonable. We had fajitas for two, which came with two full sides plates so we each got our own beans and rice and salad and guacamole (it also comes with sour cream but we asked to leave this off). My husband also had the enchiladas. Their sauce is more brown than red and is a touch sweet but has a real mole flavor. I would say overall the chicken enchiladas and the chicken fajitas were better than their beef counter parts, but the beef was still good. We had a pitcher of margaritas, which was on special for $18, but they offer a pitcher on a regular basis it is just a little more expensive. We also had queso which is mild

Was huge amount of food, was slightly on the dry side but had great flavor. Waitress was good and everything was very quick.

Had dinner here on Friday night. Service was good. Orders taken in timely fashion. Lacking variety on appetizers. I had a steak skillet which came out sizzling hot. The dish was good but lacked flavor. The wife had a steak taco that was overloaded with steak. But again, the meat was not very flavorful. Her chicken taco was also stuffed with meat, but it too was unseasoed, and the meat was cool. My son had a ribeye dish. The steak was a large portion and cooked to his medium rare request. He enjoyed the dish, but again, it too was underseasoned. Overall, it's not a bad place. The dining area was clean and the staff was great. Oh, I forgot. My son loved the beef taco and wanted to get some to go, but the dinner portions were too much.

Stopped in for a late lunch at an odd hour, so it was kind of quiet. We were still greeted kindly. Menu is HUGE with options for everyone. Chips & salsa we're great! Food was fresh, HOT & delicious! Plates were beautiful & more than we could finish, getting to go home with us for an extra meal! Very affordable prices, too! Great place! Great patio for a nice night, too!
