Lil' Deb's Oasis

The food was the absolute best I’ve ever had whilst eating out! Sapphire was our server and I’ve never met a more beautiful effervescent person! I will be going back with my friend very soon! The whole fish is to die for! As well as the pickled onions. Also the artistic and welcoming atmosphere was so rare and appreciated.

Don’t get fooled by Lil Deb’s kitschy exterior, the kitchen and cocktails are nothing to play with. As many have said on here already, the Fried fish is a showstopper. The earthy, spicy, sumac crusted skin provides a nice satisfying crunch to the buttery soft fish underneath. What surprised me the most could easily have been an afterthought of an amuse bouche- the nam prik with the shrimp chips. A near perfect bite that explodes with umami balanced beautifully with acidity and complemented by the crunchy shrimp chip. The two separately, are good, but combined together are heaven. Even if you’re just going for a drink and a snack, Lil Deb’s won’t disappoint. The cocktails are exceptionally crafted and come with no glitz, glam or frills- somewhat counterintuitive to the decor of the space.

Visited for dinner a Friday evening in late August. Had a very good meal here overall. Sat outside, in the garden area, which seemed much nicer compared to the outdoor seating on the street. Quite an eclectic and colourful menu. We tried a bunch of dishes and enjoyed them quite a bit. I was a little bummed to see a local beer from Suarez costs nearly $13 for a can but perhaps that’s just how it is these days. Service was efficient, workmanlike. It’s quite a popular venue so booking ahead seems necessary. We enjoyed our visit and would return.

Oasis was an absolutely incredible experience all the way around. Our service was swift, and the atmosphere in and around the establishment is relaxed and inviting. Our food was impeccable! The drinks…incredible! The chef and staff were so pleasant and we are bringing more of our friends next time we visit…and will try the deserts next time too. If you’re looking for a restaurant that has values for a liberated world and delicious food this is the place for you!

such a dang experience! everything was amazing! highly inventive menu. such a wild array of tastes. absolutely pristine service. the atmosphere was of course delightful. cannot wait to go back.
