Hudson Bagels

I travel New York for business and often try local bagel shops. Today I was in Hudson and decided to try this place. The quality is super low. I ordered a bagel and cream cheese and what I was given was a bread like dense bagel, much like a frozen bagel, and it barely had any cream cheese on it. They treat their cream cheese like it’s butter, and even though there was barely any on there it was watery cream cheese dripping with each bite because the bagel is so poorly crafted. It’s hard to believe this place gets return customers. They need to thicken their cheese recipe, get a completely different bagel recipe or supplier, and actually take care in preparing their food. Literally the amount of cream cheese was equal in thickness to less than 1 slice of sandwich cheese. Less than 1 star.

My spouse and I got a couple breakfast sandwiches while in the area. They forgot my hash brown and quickly replaced it with an extra one and were super apologetic. They were friendly before that happened, too. The food was great and everything, including the bathroom, was really clean as well.

Great bagels and breakfast sandwiches. Plenty of outdoor seating when the weather is nice, but only 2 small tables inside. Can get crowded in cold or rainy weather.

I think my favorite aspect of Hudson Bagel - other than the incredibly fresh and delicious bagel breakfast sandwiches- was that the vibes here great. My boyfriend and I found this breakfast locale through GoogleMaps on our way to the Catskills. As soon as we walked in, fun funky R&B was playing at a loud but not too loud level. The employees seemed like they liked their jobs, they were professional, polite, and cheerful yet also cool and casual. The breakfast was hearty and delicious. Still piping hot when it was served to us. And the place was busy but not swamped. We will be back!

Staff were excellent. Very nice and helpful. Bagels are amazing and well above average!
