We popped in for a late lunch our first night in Charleston. We had a phenomenal experience, the food was so fresh and tasty and some of the best cuisine we’ve had in a very long time! We got the lamb shank, lamb tenderloin, and branzino. The staff was so warm and welcoming! The chef was very passionate, warm, and knowledgeable, she paid attention to every detail in everything that she made. The chef recommended some of their desserts and everything was delicious. The pistachio icecream was homemade and so good! We had to come back before leaving Charleston and the entire experience was 10/10! 😋

We visited this restaurant for the first time last night, around 8:00 PM, right in the heart of King Street, surprisingly, we were the only guests at that time. The menu prices were on the higher side, but I was willing to give it a try, expecting the quality and portions to match. The dish I ordered came with French fries and a few pieces of beef. The meat was cooked well and tasted good, but it was roughly 7 oz alongside fries, and the price was $46. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the food was good, though not exceptional, with portions that felt a bit unbalanced. Overall, considering what was served, the cost felt difficult to justify.

My wife and I went here for dinner tonight. I am both gluten and dairy intolerant and needed to find a place that I could eat at. When I called they said they could easily meet those requirements with many menu choices. My wife ordered the baba ghanoush with pita bread and a side of vegetables. All those things were excellent. I ordered the lentil soup and the beef Shawarma. The lentil soup was nothing short of amazing. The flavor was just perfect and it was not too salty. It was perhaps some of the best lentil soup I’ve ever had. The beef Shawarma was drizzled with a tahini sauce and served with a side of white rice. This dish was outstanding. I could not get over the flavor as the tahini sauce just made the beef pop in your mouth with taste. The flavoring was perfect. It was not to

Went here last night for a work dinner and it was INCREDIBLE. The dolma (grape leaves) were the best I’ve ever had, genuinely. We all got a bunch of apps and split and I can honestly say you can’t go wrong with any of them. For my entree I offered the Vegetarian Moussaka and it was amazing. Huge portions too, so you’ll definitely get your moneys worth. We all got a bunch of desserts to split, and they were all great. My favorites were the baklava and the baklava ice cream! I also cannot compliment the staff enough. They were so kind, friendly, and accommodating for our larger group. I’m genuinely going to miss them! TLDR; if you’re considering Layla’s, you won’t be disappointed!

Leyla’s food is beyond great! Every detail of the branzino was great. The fish tasted fresh and was flaky. The lamb shank is succulent and the desserts especially osmalieh is heavenly
