Lewes Fishhouse Seafood Market

I wanted to like this place… For swordfish one day and quality was good. Went back a few days later to buy ingredients for paella by C Clams That we definitely should not have solved. I think the problem is the woman behind the counter in the mornings has absolutely known knowledge about what she’s doing. My suggestion would be to go on the bus when she has helpers behind the counter.

I ordered a half bushel of crabs for the holiday and it was fairly priced. They steamed and seasoned them, and they tasted GREAT! The shrimps could've used a little more garlic, but that wasn't a problem. The shrimp was good in texture and was not mushy or slimy. Customer Service was good and the clerk that helped was very nice. I will be doing business with them again. Thanks guys!

We ordered 3 doz large steamed and seasoned crabs. They were medium size at best, not heavy, and hardly seasoned at all. A couple were actually mushy and not edible. Also were luke warm not hot. At $55 a dozen we were very disappointed.

Excellent! We got snow crab legs and shrimp steamed. Very good! We got raw shrimp and scallops as well. Also super fresh and yummy! Smoked white fish dip was icing on the cake! Thank you!

Been coming here off and on for 12 years. Always a hit and miss proposition so visits have been infrequent but just as quickly as a negative review I am also prone to offer a positive review when one has been earned. Possibly the best crabs we’ve had in a very long time on our last visit. Large heavy and tasty. The clams however were old but they all opened but were tiny dry and overpriced. Addendum; As I stated earlier this place is a hit and miss and unfortunately two misses in a row this last were sold as large but all were very small, dirty and not fresh. I usually don’t complain but this was a special occasion making a good occasion worse with a lousy order. On the flip side they did offer a replacement in a couple days which I certainly appreciate but the day I needed them was a bus
