Cape Henlopen State Park Beach

Lots of paved bike trails. Maybe a little better for biking than walking but we walked a lot. Next time I’d bring my bike. GREAT frisbee golf course. My cat is getting pretty good at playing frisbee golf with us. Pretty and well marked.

Truly a wonderful and beautiful beach and State Park. Loved by many locals as well as out of town visitors. Keeps natural beauty and life as a priority.

On the positive side, nice clean beach with great parking, clean bathrooms/ changing area and concession store. Nice waves with not many jellyfish in the water. On the negative side, this narrowest beach I’ve ever been to. We came here on the second to last Wednesday in July and it was still packed. Not much space width wise so you may have walk along way length wise from the ramp to find a spot. Can’t image how this place is on a weekend or holiday.

A beautiful beach with good support for accessibility. I traveled with my disabled brother. I was able to get his wheelchair until the sand and then use the special wheelchair provided by the life guards. For those going to the beach, I recommend going to the Main Beach/McBride bathhouse entrance as it has an easy ramp.

Wonderful place. Very easy walk on to the beach with ramp. Nice that there are bathrooms close, life guards, a snack shop, and a clean beach. Highly recommend.
