I visit Petoskey about once a month and the restaurant scene was getting pretty boring. Leto’s Osteria is in the space that was Pour (wine bar /restaurant). I believe it’s the same ownership as Tap 30 and The Back Lot (beer garden). Leto’s is probably the best restaurant in downtown Petoskey (or close second to Chandler’s.) Leto’s focuses on pasta dishes-they make their pasta in-house. We ordered two appetizers and two pasta dishes. The apps were the best. The turnip dish was our favorite but the potato was good as well. We ordered the mushroom pasta dish and the vegetables/burrata dish. The mushroom was the better dish of the two. Here are my minor criticisms of the pasta dishes-both dishes were brown. I think the veg pasta should have a fresher color to it. Also, the veg pasta was real
I must say the Mushroom Mafaldine pasta was the best pasta dish I’ve ever had in my life. Kudos to the chef(s), you know what’s up. I hope both sides of your pillow are always cold. We are Canadian so the food was a little pricey but worth it. Would recommend to everyone 👍🏻
Our meal was exceptional! The turnip small plate was remarkable, the mushroom pasta was creative and absolutely delicious! Our server was helpful and very friendly. I would absolutely recommend this for a wonderful culinary experience!!!
Great food. Great service. Lovely place to dine. Need more protein options. They need to expand their small plates. Definitely would return.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: if you like it when your food tastes really good, then you should probably eat here. My girlfriend and I had the michigan asparagus gratinato to start followed by the mushroom mafaldine and the shrimp arrabbiata. Our waitress had great recommendations and everything was a slam-dunk when it came to flavor. Be sure to save room for dessert because we ended the night with their strawberry cheesecake and it was delicious! Also they box your food for you which is so rare in the United States these days, so bonus points for that.
